The mission of the Village of Surfside Beach Municipal Court is to provide an accessible forum for the fair, efficient, and impartial resolution of court matters, while upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer service.
Virtual Court

Plea options
A defendant may enter a plea of Not Guilty, Guilty, or No Contest. To request a hearing or to seek consideration of alternatives such as a Driving Safety Course, if statutorily eligible, the defendant must contact the Court prior to the scheduled appearance date..
Driving Safety Course (DSC)
If statutorily eligible, a defendant may request to complete a Driving Safety Course (DSC) for the dismissal of a qualifying moving violation. Approval must be obtained from the Court prior to enrollment in any course, and all statutory deadlines and requirements must be strictly observed.
Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility (No Insurance)
A second or subsequent conviction may result in the suspension of a defendant’s driver’s license and vehicle registration unless proof of financial responsibility is filed with and maintained by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for a period of two years. If the defendant maintained valid insurance at the time of the alleged offense, proof must be promptly submitted to the Court for consideration.
