The City of Surfside Beach will hold a General Election on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
This election is held on the Texas Uniform Election Date.
The election is conducted in coordination with the Brazoria County Clerk – Elections Division.
The City Secretary accepts candidate applications and serves as the City’s election contact.

- Alderman (two positions) — Incumbents: Alderman Jonathan Gerber and Alderman Stephen Kedlarchuk

Qualifications for Office
To be eligible for municipal office, a candidate must meet the requirements of the Texas Election Code and the City Charter.
General qualifications include:
- United States citizen
- At least 18 years of age
- Qualified Texas voter
- Meets applicable residency requirements
- Meets all other eligibility requirements of state law and local law
