We here at Surfside Beach EMS look to provide the City of Surfside Beach Texas and the rest of the island with Professional, well trained and Dedicated Crews. We are here for everyone from the residents to the beach goer.

SSBEMS is active in the community from food drives to home school tours to being at local events around the year. We provide a safe environment for families to enjoy themselves while soaking up some sun to walking the nature trails, we have on the island. We are made up of One Ambulance with ALS capabilities, a 24-hour crew and a beach unit (on busy weekends). All our members are EMT-B up to EMT-P certified with multiple other certifications. In the community we have health check programs, public classes for CPR, a ride along program and our doors are open for tours and much more.

With a very diverse community of locals and tourist SSBEMS faces different challenges from elevated rescues to coming in contact with many different languages, cultures and religions while working on calls. While during the wintertime we are a bit slower, so we do more training for the summertime when we will run more calls our goal is to provide every person with a great experience and service.
