Garbage Service Schedule
Curbside garbage pickup is provided twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays from March 1 through September 30.
Pickup is provided once weekly on Mondays from October 1 through February 28.
Heavy trash pickup: Every other Tuesday.

To enroll as a new customer, email the following documents to utilities@surfsidetx.org:
- Printable Utility Agreement
- Completed Utility Service Agreement
- Copy of government-issued identification
- Proof of ownership showing closing date, or lease agreement for renters

Waste Connections provides curbside garbage collection for Surfside Beach residents.
Please place carts curbside before collection begins.

Heavy Trash Pickup Rules
Place acceptable heavy trash items within 5 feet of the roadway by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled service day.
No more than the 2-yard limit will be serviced per heavy trash day.
Items Not Accepted
- Construction or remodeling material, including lumber, plywood, drywall, carpeting, flooring, tile, and roofing
- Concrete, dirt, mulch, bricks, batteries, cross ties, or rocks
- Auto parts or tires
- Paint or liquids of any kind
- Hazardous waste, including chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, oil, petroleum products, medical waste, or sharps
- Logs more than 18 inches in diameter or over 50 pounds
- Items that contain Freon
- Flammable items of any kind
- Closed containers or tanks of any kind
- Animal carcasses
- Items over 50 pounds
- Items more than 5 feet in length
The Village of Surfside Beach does not currently offer recycling. Residents may visit Waste Connections for recycling and disposal options.
