Mobi-Chair Reservation Request
The Village of Surfside Beach has two Mobi-Chairs available by reservation. Requests are reviewed in the order received and are subject to availability.
Submitting a request does not confirm a reservation.
Village staff will review the requested dates and contact the applicant after availability has been verified.
Reservation Requirements
- A completed online reservation request is required.
- A copy of a valid photo ID must be emailed to csr@surfsidetx.org.
- A $100 refundable damage deposit check is required before the chair is released.
- Mobi-Chairs do not fold. A truck or another suitable vehicle is recommended.
- A pickup photo showing the assigned chair number is required.
- A return photo is required after the chair is returned.
How the Reservation Process Works
- Submit the online Mobi-Chair reservation request.
- Email a copy of the applicant's valid photo ID to the Village.
- Village staff will review the requested dates and check availability.
- The applicant will receive an approval, denial, or unavailable-date email.
- If approved, the applicant will receive the assigned chair number and pickup instructions.
- The $100 deposit check must be provided before the Mobi-Chair is released.
Availability
The Village has two Mobi-Chairs. The reservation system checks the calendar and limits approved reservations to two chairs during the same rental period.
A request may be denied or marked unavailable if both chairs are already reserved, required information is missing, or the request cannot be approved as submitted.
Important Information
The Mobi-Chair requires strict supervision. The safety and well-being of the passenger are the responsibility of the rental applicant.
To receive the deposit refund, the Mobi-Chair must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. Refunds are issued by check.
